As the leaves turn brilliant shades of yellow, orange and red, Wyoming County has everything you need to enjoy fall in style. Whether you're looking to explore vibrant hiking trails, enjoy scenic drives or experience the charm of a small town, the area offers a range of outdoor adventures and rural escapes. Here are five must-try fall adventures in Wyoming County to help you make the most of the season.

Visit the Grand Canyon of the East

Letchworth State Park is one of New York’s premier natural wonders, and fall transforms Letchworth into an unforgettable leaf-peeping experience. With gorge depths of over 600 feet, Letchworth’s many overlooks and vistas provide views like no other! Enjoy a walk through the picturesque scenery or stop for a picnic in a grassy area. One of the most breathtaking experiences is watching the Balloons Over Letchworth soar across the park. For an even more unforgettable adventure, you can take a balloon ride yourself, floating high above the park’s waterfalls and gorge for a truly spectacular view. Other fun attractions in the park include the Humphrey Nature Center,  Adventure Calls Outfitters, and the historic Glen Iris Inn. Just outside the inn, a tranquil trout pond offers a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the park.

Bask in the Natural Beauty

There's plenty of natural beauty to explore in Wyoming Countyincluding Beaver Meadow Audubon Center. This extensive nature preserve features an 8,000-square-foot nature center, 8 miles of scenic hiking trails, glacial kettle ponds, wetlands with a boardwalk trail, wooded uplands, meadows, a hawk watch, and an arboretum. In a region where we’re big on agritourism, you won’t be hard-pressed to find sips and bites that are made from fresh ingredients produced right here! Nothing says fall like a refreshing glass of crisp apple cider. Visit the Castile Cider Mill, minutes from Letchworth State Park, for fresh cold-pressed apple cider and their famous old-fashioned apple cider donuts. This historic landmark is a family-owned and operated business serving the region since 1945. If hard cider is more your flavor, stop by Three Falls Cider right next door to the Cider Mill for a variety of delicious hard ciders. You can also visit Buried Barrel Hard Cider for a drink or get cans/growlers to go. Looking for fresh produce? Head over to Degroff's Sweet Corn for seasonal vegetables and pumpkins. Don't forget to stop by Titus Brothers Fruit Stand and treat yourself to fresh cider, slushies, donuts, apples, produce and more!

Trek Our Craft Beverage Trail

After a full day of exploration, visit our craft beverage trail to sit back and sip a crisp craft beer or a hard cider made from local apples.
