250th Celebration – Warsaw, NY
Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a fun, family-friendly afternoon in Warsaw, NY! The 250th Celebration will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 2–5 p.m. at Warsaw Village Park, featuring local history, hands-on activities, community organizations, food and plenty of opportunities to learn more about Wyoming County’s past.
The afternoon will include special programs highlighting local history, including “The Sullivan Campaign” presented by Mark Milcarek and “Embury Lanterns” presented by Eric Szucs.
From 2–4 p.m., families can step back in time with 19th-century games provided by the Genesee Country Village & Museum, while a tractor show offers another look at the region’s agricultural heritage.
Visitors can also meet representatives from the Daughters of the American Revolution – Mary Jemison Chapter, Wyoming County Dairy Queen, Girl Scout Troop 92216, and Animal Friends of Wyoming County. The Wyoming County Dairy Queen will have ice cream available, and the Kiwanis Club of Warsaw will be serving hot dogs.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a local family looking for something fun to do, or simply want to celebrate this important American milestone with the community, everyone is invited to come one, come all!
