Eight Great Days of County Fair Fun!
The Wyoming County Fair returns to Pike, New York, August 15–22, 2026, for eight great days celebrating agriculture, community, competition, and good old-fashioned county fair fun!
With no admission charge and just a $10 parking fee, the Wyoming County Fair is an affordable summer tradition for the whole family. Throughout the week, visitors can experience everything from horse and livestock shows to tractor pulls, parades, contests, demonstrations, food, and plenty of fairground excitement.
Vendors & Food
One of the highlights of the Wyoming County Fair is the many animals shown by local youth, including cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, poultry, and rabbits. Youth exhibits and activities also showcase dog obedience, horticulture, science, engineering, technology, visual arts, natural resources, and more.
Discover local businesses and organizations and learn more about how they support our community as you explore the Commercial Building and People’s Hall. Visitors can also step back in time with demonstrations and historical exhibits at the Griffith Historical House, Blacksmith Shop, and Rural Museum.
And, of course, no county fair is complete without plenty of great food! Food vendors and trucks will be serving up an assortment of delicious favorites, including beef on weck, hamburgers, sausage, pizza, fresh-cut French fries, ice cream, and fair classics like fried dough and funnel cakes.
Rides
The midway is at the heart of the fairgrounds, with rides and games for visitors of all ages.
Rides are open daily from 12–5 p.m. and 6–10 p.m. Rides close each day from 5–6 p.m.
- Individual tickets: $1.50 each
- Family Pack: $30 for 30 tickets
- Small rides: 3 tickets
- Big rides: 4 tickets
- Special Ride-All-Rides: $30 — good for all rides during either the 12–5 p.m. or 6–10 p.m. session
Signature Events & Highlights
🐴 Horse Shows & Competitions | August 15–22
Horse lovers can enjoy a full lineup of open and 4-H horse shows throughout the week, including Western, English, Gymkhana, Costume, and Draft Horse competitions. The week culminates with the Horse Pull on Saturday, August 22.
🚜 Tractor Pulls & Tractor Show | August 15, 19, 21 & 22
Feel the power of agriculture in action! The fair features a Performance Tractor Pull on August 15, Garden Tractor Pull on August 19, Tractor Show on August 21, and the two-part ESP Class AA Tractor Pull on August 21 & 22.
🚗 Car Show | Saturday, August 15
Kick off the fair with a Car Show on opening day, featuring a great collection of vehicles for automotive enthusiasts to enjoy.
👑 Queen Talent Show & Crowning | August 16 & 17
The fair's Queen competition takes center stage Sunday with the Queen Talent Show on August 16, followed by the Crowning of the Queen on Monday, August 17.
🐕 Dog Obedience, Agility & Rally Shows | August 16 & 20
Dog lovers can enjoy two special events showcasing the skills, training, and teamwork of 4-H dogs and their handlers.
Sunday, August 16 at 2 p.m. — Dog Obedience Show at the Baseball Field
Thursday, August 20 at 11:30 a.m. — 4-H Dog Agility & Rally Obedience Show
These events are a great opportunity to see local 4-H participants and their dogs put their training to the test in fun and impressive demonstrations.
🎉 Grand Parade | Monday, August 17
Gather along the parade route for the Grand Parade, one of the fair's beloved community traditions, beginning at 7 p.m.
🔥 Firemen's Parade & Band Competition | Tuesday, August 18
Tuesday evening brings the Firemen's Parade at 7 p.m., followed by a Band Competition at 8:30 p.m.
🐄 Livestock & Agricultural Shows | August 19–22
Experience the heart of the county fair with 4-H and open-class livestock competitions, including the 4-H Meat Animal Auction on August 19, Open Class Beef Show on August 21, and Open Class Dairy and Sheep Shows on August 22.
🍗 Chicken Barbecue | Thursday, August 20
Come hungry for the fair's Chicken Barbecue, served Thursday afternoon from 4–7:30 p.m.
🐎 Draft Horse Show | Thursday, August 20
See impressive draft horses in action during the Draft Horse Show Thursday evening at 6 p.m.
🎣 Fish Dinner | Friday, August 21
Enjoy a Friday evening Fish Dinner, served from 4–7:30 p.m.
🏆 Horse Pull | Saturday, August 22
One of Saturday's featured competitions, the Horse Pull at 10:30 a.m., showcases strength, teamwork, and some truly impressive horses.
